Euclidean Geometry
in Mathematical Olympiads
An Imprint of the American Mathematical Society (AMS)
by Evan Chen, CyberMath’s Math Olympiad Program Coordinator
This is a challenging problem-solving book in Euclidean geometry, assuming nothing of the reader other than a good deal of courage. Topics covered included cyclic quadrilaterals, power of a point, homothety, triangle centers; along the way the reader will meet such classical gems as the nine-point circle, the Simson line, the symmedian and the mixtilinear incircle, as well as the theorems of Euler, Ceva, Menelaus, and Pascal. Another part is dedicated to the use of complex numbers and barycentric coordinates, granting the reader both a traditional and computational viewpoint of the material.

Proofs in Competition Math
co-authored by Alex Toller, a CyberMath Instructor
Proofs in Competition Math is a 2-volume book covering the building blocks of proof at the level of, and from the perspective of, high school competition math — ranging from the AMC 10/12 level to the USA(J)MO level and beyond. The content spans a wide range, from the classical Pythagorean Theorem to Euler’s totient theorem to Stewart’s Theorem to quadratic reciprocity, even group theory, linear algebra, and elements of mathematical analysis. Hundreds of exercises supplement the motivating examples and challenge you to extend ideas to new and thoughtful applications! Complete solutions come included with the book series. There is also some discussion of some of novel areas of math/hot topics of research, and some of the applications of competitive math to these areas. Applied math trivia, logic, and paradoxes also make an appearance!

I loved it all! Maas is an amazing teacher who taught us lots and made this camp an amazing experience. He made the class fun and enjoyable while we still learned. I also love all the different people I met. Strangers to best friends!

No words can fully express my gratitude for the experience my son and daughter enjoyed with CyberMath Academy. They live in a small rural town with peers who often struggle academically, and they gained so much inspiration at your summer program

I was surprised by the great communication about my student’s progress, the amount of material the group got through — most importantly, my son had a great time!
